Fight
Crime: Invest in Kids is a national, bi-partisan 501(c)(3)
organization made up of more than 2,500 police chiefs, sheriffs,
prosecutors, other law enforcement leaders, and violence survivors.
Our mission is to build public and policy-maker support for
the quality social and educational programs that help all
kids develop into healthy, productive adults and that reduce
crime and violence.
With
our national headquarters in Washington , DC , Fight Crime:
Invest in Kids has nine state offices: California , Illinois
, Maine , Michigan , New York , Ohio , Oregon , Pennsylvania
, and Tennessee .
Our
members are leaders of law enforcement and crime victims are
a powerful group of community leaders who have extraordinary
access to and credibility with their elected officials and
other local leaders. Our strategy is to build broad-based
public and policy-maker support " especially among moderates
and conservatives for increasing investments in programs that
help disadvantaged children and families.
Fight
